During your travels, you may encounter a small, black, furry critter leaping from tree to tree. The black squirrel over the years has become the unofficial, yet highly regarded, mascot of Council Bluffs. It has been said that no other city in the country is more populated with black squirrels, and their distinction has even led to a city ordinance. We are excited to announce that our black squirrel now has a name, "Chipper." We invite you to say hi to Chipper as you meet him around town!
