The Pottawattamie County Growth Alliance is designed to keep the Council Bluffs area on the Leading Edge. The Alliance coordinates all economic development efforts in the Council Bluffs area with the goal of helping existing business thrive and expand while attracting diverse new enterprises.

Mission Statement

The Pottawattamie County Growth Alliance is a public/private partnership established to provide a full-time, professional effort in economic development. The partners are businesses and organizations in the community who are committed to successful growth and development of the community. The Alliance will focus on the following areas:

• Facilitate the expansion and retention of existing businesses.
• Expand the Council Bluffs economic base by active new business recruitment.
• Establish fully serviced industrial/business sites and buildings.
• Expand the current capabilities to meet the economic development vision for the community.
• Actively pursue economic and community development efforts resulting in continued improvement and investment in Council Bluffs. These efforts should improve the appearance and enhance the image of Council Bluffs to its citizens and to individuals outside the area.
