In an effort to decrease transit times and serve their customers better, American Freightways, now a part of FedEx Freight, revamped their logistical strategies and were in the search for a new location with excellent interstate access. They landed in the Manawa Business Park, located off the I-80/29 Lake Manawa exit.

To help with the construction of their $3-million, 48-door terminal, they looked to the urban revitalization (tax abatement) program for assistance. With help from the Alliance, FedEx Freight received a sliding scale, 10-year tax abatement on their project.

FedEx Freight's terminal was designed to expand to 96 doors and is now set for continued growth.
