On November 16, 2020, the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce along with area partners announced, we engaged in the process to become a certified ACT Work Ready Community. This practice demonstrates our commitment to developing a strong workforce pipeline, desirable to employers, economic developers, and current and future citizens of the county.
The ACT® Work Ready Communities (ACT® WRC) initiative empowers states, regions, and counties with data, processes, and tools that drive economic growth by identifying skills gaps and quantifying the skill level of their workforce. Participants leverage the ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate® (ACT® WorkKeys® NCRC®) to measure and close skills gaps and build common frameworks that link, align, and match their workforce development efforts.
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully certified Pottawattamie County as an ACT Work Ready Community. Please join us as we celebrate our community and our collaborated success.
We will have our event at IWCC Art Center's Black Box rooms. We will serve o'dourves and beverages during our cocktail hour, followed by a brief presentation.
This celebration is open to the public, please register for attendance numbers.
