Schedule: Mondays - Fridays 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Overview: The primary duties of a Diesel Mechanic include performing diagnostics on our inventory of Class 8 Trucks and performing mechanical repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

Tests, services, and repairs tractors and related mechanical components.

• Repair various components which may include engines, aftertreatments, electrical, transmissions, wheel ends, brakes, and other systems
• Diagnose and Repair Engine, Aftertreatment, and Electrical faults using OEM Software.
• Repair/Replace bolt on body parts such as hoods and cab extenders.
• Perform inspection and preventative maintenance on all equipment to OEM/DOT Standards
• 2-4 years’ experience diagnosing & Repairing Class 8 Trucks
• Capable of using all diagnostic equipment and resources. May require assistance
• Drive trucks in and out of shop before and after repairs.
• Clean and maintain work area on a daily basis.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most SRT times.
• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on Class 8 Tractors
• Check/ Change Class 8 truck fluids; transmission oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.
• Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL Preferred
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT medical card

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Class 8 Truck OEM Diagnostic Software: 2+ years (Preferred)
• Class 8 Truck Mechanical knowledge: 2+ year (Preferred)
• Work authorization (Preferred)
