West Central Community Action seeks a Specialist for the Child & Adult Food Care Program (CACFP). CACFP is a US Department of Agriculture-funded program established to promote good nutrition, positive eating habits, and attitudes for children in registered child care homes. This is a full-time, year-round, Council Bluffs or Harlan-based position that will involve: ? Visiting registered child care homes to recruit, enroll, and support child care providers in their participation in the CACFP Program. ? Reviewing meal menus to assure compliance with USDA guidelines, meal counts, and attendance records. ? Processing monthly claims and maintaining programmatic compliance. ? Utilizing MS Office and database programs Candidates for this position must have high school/GED, and have experience and/or degrees in child care, nutrition, or human services. Travel, valid driver’s license, and auto liability insurance is required in this position.
