West Central Community Action is seeking Teacher for the Denison Early Head Start classroom. This position will have a direct focus on children 0 to 3 years of age in Denison.
Teachers are responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child. This includes lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with all Early Head Start ages. Teachers are responsible for the planning, management, operation, and evaluation of the program in their room.
Minimum requirements at AA/AS in Early Childhood or CDA Credential for Infant & Toddlers’ Caregiver with one year’s experience working with infants, toddlers, and families. Prefer candidates with BA/BS in Early Childhood. Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and current auto liability insurance are required.
Benefits include health, dental and life insurance, vacation/sick pay, 10 paid holidays, IPERS and 403(B) retirement programs. This position has a starting rate between $14.00 and $19.51 and may be eligible for the federal student loan forgiveness program.
