Plant Utility Worker

The City of Council Bluffs is currently hiring for the position of Plant Utility Worker!

Pay: $21.78/HR with step increases to $27.19/HR

Hours: Potential shirts are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. A combination of different shirts are possible.
 
Responsibilities: Performs a variety of manual tasks in the maintenance and upkeep of grounds, facilities, and plant equipment. Operates one or more types of equipment. This is an entry level position at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and city-wide pump stations.
 
Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate level degree from an accredited college preferably in a field directly related to Waste Water Treatment such as Environmental Science, Microbiology, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance
• Any combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Must have the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within 12 months of employment.
