  • Seasonal Administrative Assistant

    Collins Consulting, located within TS Bank in Treynor, Iowa, is seeking to hire a Seasonal Administrative Assistant for the upcoming tax season. This position is responsible for directing clients and visitors for Collins Consulting Service, answering phones, collecting and organizing tax paperwork, and assisting with general duties during the tax season of January through April. Work is performed within bank and regulatory policies and procedures and some independent judgment and decision-making is required to perform job related duties.

    Education and/or experience includes: High school graduate or possess a GED certification. Possess at least two years' experience as a receptionist or comparable experience. Formal training may be substituted for experience.

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

    Employment timeframe: December 2023 through end of April 2024.

    Location: Treynor, IA

    Pay: $15.00- $17.00/hr.

    • Assist in supply ordering.
    • Greet clients by phone and in person; direct them to proper area.
    • Answer phone calls and schedule tax appointments.
    • General copying, scanning, and organizing of tax information for appointments.
    • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
    • To effectively perform the job, must have reliable transportation to travel to and from work and other work-related events, meetings, interactions with clients, etc.
    • Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet required deadlines and attend meetings and/or training programs.
