Director of Health Services

Children's Square is looking for a Director of Health Services to work in a non-clinical setting with flexible scheduling.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Supervise Health Services and Crisis Intervention Services and programs while providing professional-level leadership to programs within the Agency.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct nursing and crisis intervention services for children and youth.
• Manage health services and crisis intervention team.
• Manage BHIS staff and program.
• Identify and implement evidenced based practice models and related training.
• Create goals and objective for the department or facility and make sure they are met by the staff.
• Keep and organize client records for health services and update client database systems.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Collaborate with department leaders on policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Recruit and train nurses and other health professionals.
• Ensure work processes and procedures are compliant with current laws, licensing, and regulations.
• Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to clients.
• Create education and training programs for staff.
• Be available for occasional on-call duties.
• Manage budget for Health Services Department.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for hiring, development, and performance management of staff.
2. Conduct timely employee evaluations.
3. Completes training necessary to perform position consistent with program and agency staff development plans.
4. Promote a positive working environment.
5. Other duties as directed by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s level nursing degree (MSN or APRN)
• 3 years’ experience in behavior health crisis intervention
• 3-5 years clinical experience
• 2-3 years health care supervision
• Current CPR and 1st Aid certifications
• Advanced computer skills
