How would you contribute?

As a Systems Engineer you are responsible for the planning, implementation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of mission critical enterprise systems (ERP, Cloud, Database, Virtualization, etc.). Serves as a technical expert for a broad range of engineering enterprise solutions. The engineer is to be part of a team contributing in creating a lean, robust IT team and environment through continuous improvement.

Essential Duties:

• Monitor system and infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Apply firmware and software revisions to infrastructure hardware.
• Installation and configuration of infrastructure hardware, firewalls, wireless, and switches.
• Establish and document configuration, installation, and maintenance standards of operating systems and infrastructure equipment.
• Improve procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use and access.
• Identify and implement automation solutions where possible.
• Manage backup and restore procedures across the enterprise.
• Assist the systems engineering and administrative team in implementing new technologies and developing administration hand off to other support tiers.
• Lead problem-solving efforts by identifying root cause analysis and applying permanent solutions.
• Mentor and grow team members from other support tiers.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support off-hour critical failures.

• BA Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Plus 3 years of experience working in systems engineering
• Proven working experience with Windows Server & Linux administration.
• Strong skillset or familiarity with virtualization and cloud services (M365, Azure, AWS, VMware/Hyper-V, VDI, and related technologies)
• Understanding of implementing and managing Microsoft Enterprise Applications (Active Directory/DNS, Exchange, SQL Server, Server, SCCM)
• Certifications in CompTIA, CCNA, MCSE, VCP or similar a plus.
• Experience endpoint management and monitoring tools and implementations preferred (SCCM, InTune, OpsGenie, Orchestrator, etc.)
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and wireless solutions.
• Ability to analyze root cause and problem solve.
• Ability to: Plan, organize and document complex system designs.
• Effectively communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others while maintaining trust and credibility within the organization.
