    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    The Classroom Associate Supervisor will have responsibility for supervision of Classroom Associate staff.  The Classroom Associate Supervisor will provide training, coaching, observation, and feedback to Classroom Associate staff to ensure maximum daily functioning at the Therapeutic School.    The Classroom Associate Supervisor requires a wide knowledge base, decision-making, problem solving and the ability to be flexible with scheduling.  The ability to work with a diverse population is necessary for the Classroom Associate Supervisor.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop a peer mentor program for new Classroom Associates.
    • Provide consistent and frequent supervision for Classroom Associates.
    • Promote Trauma Informed Care model at Therapeutic School.
    • Encourage and promote self-care for staff.
    • Role model positive communication and replacement behaviors.
    • Ensure Classroom Associates are aware of treatment goals so they can help implement.
    • Support the multidisciplinary staffing process at the therapeutic school.
    • Assist with the daily room assignments and scheduling.
    • Responsible for hiring process of Classroom Associate staff.
    • Participates in program planning and development.
    • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
    • Always displays a courteous and caring attitude to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
    • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
    • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
    • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
    • *Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
    • * Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
    • * Essential functions of this job is to be performed on company physical work site
    • Performs other program related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Five years experience in related field
    • Management experience essential
    • Valid drivers license, acceptable driving record
