    Provide trauma-informed therapeutic services to children ages 4-18 and their caregivers who are experiencing effects of trauma and attachment difficulties. 

    1. Service Delivery: Provide counseling and therapy services to individuals and families, individuals, and couples in order to effect change for growth and healing.
    2. Communication: Displays and role models excellent communication skills.
    3. Leadership: Acts as a resource to give input to other professionals about the best course of action in difficult client situations.
    4. Record Keeping: Maintains accurate, written clinical records of services provided per established agency/COA standards.
    5. Professionalism: Is Mission Driven and committed to the vision of the Organization. Demonstrates aptitude and commitment in continuous learning and excelling in one’s job.  Champions development and growth for self and others. Strives to implement “best practices” within the Organization.
    6. Networking: Builds contacts that facilitate appropriate referrals to other or additional services.


    1. Other duties as directed by the supervisor.
    2. Completes training necessary to perform position consistent with program and agency staff development plans.


    • Knowledge of the stages of growth and development.
    • Masters Degree in Social Work or other related Mental Health or Human Services.
    • Currently licensed or ability to gain license in Iowa to facilitate individual and family therapy (preferred licensed).
    • Experience working with trauma and attachment difficulties is required.

    Position Type: Full-time
