• Human Resources Technician

    The Human Resources Technician will support the agency by assisting in nearly all aspects of HR including recruitment, selection, training, report building, workers compensation and more.


    • Leads recruitment process including: reviewing job descriptions, posting of open positions, screening applicants, timely communication with applicants regarding status, scheduling interviews, obtaining references and completing background checks
    • Creates and conducts new hire orientation
    • Responsible for on-boarding new employees
    • Processes worker's compensation claims, completes and files first report of injury, assists insurance handlers with required information
    • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, Affirmative Action, COA standards, state licensure standards, and background checks
    • Create letters, reports, forms, recruiting and advertising as necessary
    • Maintain a filing system for personnel data and data entry into computer system
    • Track spending/HR costs in budget system
    • Attend job fairs and college recruitment events and develop recruiting literature for distribution
    • Provide excellent customer service by answering employee and candidate questions
    • Performs other duties as assigned
