We are seeking individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of young adolescents with behavioral/personality issues. This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates or soon to be college graduates to build skills in the Human Services field and gain experience working with troubled youth. Become part of a team working with students in grades 1-12 with emotional and behavioral difficulties in a unique school setting. The Academic Center serves students who require intensive individual support and are in need of a self-contained classroom. Emphasis is placed on developing the students' academic and behavioral skills to a degree where it is possible for the students to return to the referring school district.
The starting wage for Paraeducators is dependent on experience and educational levels. Promotion opportunities are available to Paraeducators. Some Paraeducators have become Case Managers and Supervisors within our agency. Children's Square offers initial and ongoing training opportunities to help all staff develop in their role. This position is a 10-month assignment starting Fall 2021 due to there not being school during the summer months. Paraeducators are still eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
