Job Description
Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00
Omaha Bridges seeks to train potential facilitators for its Getting Ahead in a Just Getting’-By World classes. Facilitators are assigned to classes that take place on-line or in-person at partnering agencies throughout the Metropolitan Area. Omaha Bridges offers classes on a trimester schedule (3-times per year)
Paid Training:
6 weeks of paid training (5 hours per week)
Training classes are conducted both on-line and in-person at varying intervals
Contract Co-Facilitator: On-The-Job-Training
Candidates that successfully complete the training class are assigned as co-facilitators. Co-facilitators commit to an average of 5 to 6 hours per week over a 9–10-week class.
Certified Contract Lead Facilitators
Omaha Bridges pays certification cost
Certification period is 2-years
Facilitators commit to facilitate a minimum of 3-classes during their certification period
Lead facilitators commit to an average of 10-12 hours per week over a 9–10-week class period
Class assignments are determined at Omaha Bridges direction and discretion
Assignments are not guaranteed
Lead Facilitator Job Duties/Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Demonstrate Bridges Out of Poverty/Getting Ahead knowledge to low- and moderate-income individuals
Understand the core concepts and illustrate them to workshop participants
Coordinate and provide guidance on the complete of intake and assessments documents
Establish and maintain workshop schedules, agendas, sign-in, and evaluation procedures and other processes related to hosting Getting Ahead workshops in the community.
Coordinate referrals and advocacy to appropriate staff or community partners, while providing other support as needed.
Finalize paperwork and documentation of program participants’ assessments within 48 hours of completion.
Responsible for maintenance accuracy, and completeness of client files, both paper and electronic.
Participate in the Getting Ahead Alumni events as agreed upon.
Participate in Facilitator coordination/development meetings.
Experience
Successful related work experience with low-income families including previous teaching, group facilitation, public speaking, effective individual coaching, or case management.
Preferred
Both English speaking and fully bilingual Spanish speakers
Proof of COVID vaccination is required.
