    Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired supports students throughout the state of Iowa. 

    Instructional materials need to be transported in mini-vans on out-and-back routes starting and ending in Council Bluffs, Iowa.   Routes are expected to require a minimum of 63 hours/month with additional work likely depending on needs.  Routes mostly will be between 4 hours and 12 hours total.

    Pay
    $14.34/hr; No benefits;

    Provides efficient transportation and delivery of instructional materials to AEA offices, including the safe loading and unloading of materials.

     Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Operates motor vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from AEA offices, schools, and other locations as determined by supervisor.
    2. Load and unloads vehicle at all stops on a route, including stops at AEA offices, schools, and other locations. 
    3. Maintains the time and delivery schedule set by supervisor.
    4. Maintains the external and internal appearance of the vehicle.
    5. Drives in accordance with traffic laws
    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    1. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships.
    2. Normal, routine levels of bending, climbing, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
    3. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
    4. Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing operation of state vehicles.
