ABOUT - Theisen Cleaning Services LLC – Omaha/Council Bluffs & Neola Area: Seeking Employees for our Registered Apprenticeship Program in the Janitorial field. Providing 145 hours of Certified in-school training, and 2000 hours in the field training recognized by the State of Iowa. Creating our workforce will be dedicated to and only Homeless, Addiction & Recovery, Minorities, Women, Veterans, Disabled, Ex-Offenders, or Low-Income Iowans. Students will earn a Certificate & Pay Increase for each course taken. Completing the 1year program, students will receive a minimum Wage Rate at the full performance level and shall be no less for this occupation than $12.00 per hour. Safe Serve, OSHA 30 Hour, & First Aid/CPR Certificates. The goal is to provide a pathway for individuals to get back in the work field, be part of a team. Build future apprentices with a trained staff and be recognized as a Professional Cleaner with Credentials.

Midlands Living Center

Candidates can be hired either into the Resident Assistant with or Nurse Aide in Training / Temporary Nurse Aide role.

POSITIONS/ABOUT EACH - 

Resident Assistant: Newly hired into a non-certified role who completes very similar tasks to a CNA, however, it is only the tasks that don't require certification, i.e., passing ice water, making beds, passing linens, stocking briefs, helping get the residents to/from the dining room or activities, changing out oxygen tubing, cleaning wheelchairs, taking vitals and temps each shift.

Nurse Aide in Training / Temporary Nurse Aide: Completes an 8-hour online course through the American Healthcare Association, completes competencies with the ADON or Personnel Coordinator. Upon completing the TNA requirements, the TNA would train for a minimum of
2-weeks alongside a CNA, then be able to work a section on their own and complete all duties assigned as a Certified Nurse’s Aide

Certified Nurse’s Aide: Upon completion of the TNA program and after 90-days but before 120-days of working time with Midlands Living Center, the facility will pay the cost of the course and testing for the employee to complete the CNA class. For the facility to pay for the CNA class a 1-year work agreement must be signed.
