The Ag Committee’s primary purpose is to promote the agricultural industry in the greater Council Bluffs area.
The Ag Committee sponsors one scholarship per year for an area graduating senior that plans to pursue a career in an agricultural related field. The scholarship selection process is managed through the Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation. Funding for the scholarship is generated through an annual Ag Cookout in Bayliss Park which is held in conjunction with Celebrate CB week. Other activities include an annual yield contest for corn and soybean production for area farmers, tours of Ag businesses and hosting events with presentations made by professionals in the agriculture industry.
